Caudron C.460

A few years back I made it by Flabob Airport in Riverside, California and saw the makings of a unique flying machine. I was told it was a replica of the fast racing ship, the Caudron C.460. It is now hitting the press that this sleek ship is flying. AEROPLANE magazine, the May 2009 issue has a short write up... also EAAs VINTAGE AIRPLANE magazine, the May 2009 issue has great pictures and a complete write up. I found the above picture on the Antique Airfield web site. Nice shot of this slick ship! Hats off to the crew at Aero Craftsman!

170 Out of Paint Shop

The best flying weather of the whole year was this week... and I take my 170 down for paint! But... it was in the paint shop for only 5 days! GLO Custom at Northwest Regional did a very nice job painting the undersides of the wings and fuselage. Just rolled it back into my hangar today. Flaps and ailerons will go back on next week during the annual. Will start polishing it up for the summer fly-ins after the annual. A few more pictures here...

Hope to be back flying in time to make the Texas Antique Flyin at Gainesville.

Chino Airshow This Weekend

The Chino Airshow is this weekend and I cant hardly wait for the pictures to hit the forums! This should be quite the show. The theme for the show this year is Grumman aircraft. Above is a shot of three of the Bearcats that will be in attendance. The full line up of Grumman fighters is slated to fly. Watch here for links to the pictures as we find them!
